Earlier today, it was discovered that one theater, The Vic Devonport, was describing the bonus footage as containing a brand-new, sixteen minute post-credits sequence CREATED by Kane Parsons, implying that it is NOT additional BTS footage.
While this seemed to point towards the Everything Must Go Edition of Backrooms might include some sort of bonus Backrooms content made by Kane himself, there was only ONE source claiming this- and it could easily be a miswording or misunderstanding.
But earlier today, Kane Parsons popped into his Discord server to clarify what exactly the Everything Must Go release actually is. He made clear that it was not additional BTS content, nor was it an extended cut of the film. However, he adds that he thinks that “those who were hoping for more YT episodes will be into it…”
Are we getting a brand new Backrooms episode SHOWN IN THEATERS?
While some fans may be disappointed this isn’t a proper extended/ director’s cut, the fact that we’re still getting 15 MORE MINUTES of more Backrooms content is VERY exciting! As mentioned previously, the Everything Must Go Edition will release on July 3rd.
In other news, the Everything Must Go Edition was recently discovered to also be playing at theaters in the UK and New Zealand – suggesting that this special rerelease of the film may hopefully be released internationally!
