An exclusive clip for ‘BACKROOMS’ depicting Clark first finding the entrypoint to the Complex was reportedly shown at CCXP. Here’s everything we know:
The clip starts with Clark is watching a commercial from the 90’s on his television. The commercial reportedly had a man dressed as a cowboy. However, his TV then cuts to a strange image of the Complex depicting a dark opening with a TV cable. The TV then shuts off on its own.
The lights in the store begin to flicker. Clark assumes its faulty wiring and goes to the breaker box, visibly frustrated. He turns off all the switches, but nothing happens. He powers down everything, but when he turns it back on the lights don’t come back on.
Clark gives up, and heads towards the stairs. On his way down, Clark notices a light in the wall, almost like a door just barely cracked open. He approaches it, and leans his head in to listen, but phases right through the wall.
He falls face first into the Complex, and when Clark stands up, he sees a giant stack of furniture sitting in front of him.
Backrooms releases in theaters May 29th.
