To mark the completion of Backrooms, A24 have posted an image of Kane Parsons in a hazmat suit on their social media accounts with the caption “That’s a wrap on BACKROOMS”.
In the background we can see the caveman cutout, confirming that it is very likely that the cutout seen in the trailer could be the same or similar to the one in Found Footage 3. Also of interest is that there is clearly an electronic voice box on it’s chest ‒ some people had speculated that this was what was playing the Golden Record recording in the trailer.
Kane is in front of an editing screen in a room that has the Chevron wallpaper on the walls.
Previously Kane has mentioned on his Discord server that the wallpaper had been used in the production office as well (images taken in the protection office can be distinguished as such due to the white skirting board at the bottom of the wall – images taken on set do not have this).
