Backrooms Interactive Experience

Q-Liminal, a Backrooms interactive experience has opened in Japan and will run until September 20th.

Visitors will have the chance to walk around and explore a Backrooms installation. Using an app created for the experience, users need to scan QR codes. But not all QR codes allow one to progress, while cryptic symbols and shapes are scattered around the space providing further clues. Visitors have 30 minutes to solve clues and find their way out of the Backrooms.

The experience takes place at Sunshine City Exhibition Hall A, Ikebukuro, Tokyo. It is open between 11am and 6pm. Entry is ¥1,500 (approx $10 USD).

There also is a Lost in the Backrooms photo experience which uses AI to put visitors into one of three Backrooms scenes and take home a souvenir photo.
