Local Oshkosh TV station, WBAY Channel 2 has done a story about the upcoming Backrooms movie and the store that the original photo was taken at. The story was also broadcast on their First Alert news bulletin.
The story interviews current store owner, John Hetzel of John’s Hobbies talks about how the photo was taken there and stories being made up. Although he also confirmed that no scenes for the movie were filmed there (which had been a rumor at some point).
They also interview a couple of fans who provide more information on the Backrooms and what it is.
