The next issue of the AAA24 Zine will feature Backrooms!
In an email sent out to members, there is a preview of the cover which includes an inverse version of the Quixel wallpaper and the title that is a play on the classic short story “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman!
The email also teases that Kane will be guest editor of the issue along with a “surprise you’ll get to piece together”. Perhaps a sort of ARG element, or a clue to the film? Or maybe a buildable paper room?
Longtime fans of Kane’s series are very familiar with the story, which was referenced through the title of an unlisted video in the series having the ISBN for The Yellow Wallpaper! Still more dedicated fans know that the story parallels Backrooms thematically in ways that go deeper than you’d expect.
AAA24 members will receive the zine in the mail as part of their subscription. Non-members will have an opportunity to purchase a copy through the A24 online store at a later date.
