Deadline is reporting that a sequel to Backrooms is already being looked at, with sources telling the news/industry site that Kane Parsons is apparently looking for a screenwriting collaborator to work with.
Backrooms itself wasn’t actually written by Kane, but by a more experienced screenwriter in Will Soodik. However, the story was very much what we’d expect from Kane Parsons so it would be fair to say that Kane had a lot of input and a final say on what eventually became the story of the movie.
The site also reports that Kane’s contract to continue Backrooms is with A24. This is certainly exciting news for us fans!
