Backrooms box office figures at the end of Saturday 30th:
- US/Domestic – $81.4M
- Worldwide – $118M
Other key figures:
- Kane Parsons – #1 opening record for a young filmmaker (both highest figures and youngest age).
- Highest opening for A24 – first A24 movie with opening over $100M.
- 88% of the audience are under 35.
- Half the audience attended because the movie is produced by A24, the other half because they are Backrooms fans (Backrooms fans represent!).
- Higher opening weekend figures than the recent Star Wars movie, Mandalorian and Grogu.
- Backrooms was shown in 3,442 theatres.
