Backrooms Opening Weekend $20M Projection

Backrooms is currently projected to make $20 million USD on opening weekend in the US according to industry news website Deadline.

This would make it the third highest A24 movie with Marty Supreme ($27M est.) and Civil War ($25.7M) currently holding the top two spots.

Initial projections for Marty Supreme however were only $10M to $12M so it’s not a stretch that Backrooms will actually do much more than this.

Based on the hype, many of us fans believe it will actually do more than this and even go on to be A24’s biggest movie of all time (currently Marty Supreme with $96M in the US and $191.4M globally).

The projection hit the box office trackers this morning in the US, ahead of the premiere in Los Angeles tonight.:
